Unable to activate iMessage after porting number from one carrier to another

It turned out that there was an eSim with the old Sprint phone number active as well as a physical sim with the same phone number for t-mobile which was the one that was ported. So once we deleted the eSim and rebooted it came back up correctly and worked! Thanks so much!
