Adding a card to apple wallet

The info. in the pic, is for cards like store-cards (not financial cards like credit / debit cards)

I am getting exactly the same message when trying to add a payment card. My previous card is expiring so I deleted it to add my new card. It is with the same bank so should have the option. I have checked with my partner and he gets the option to select a previous or new card. Why don’t I get this option??

Seems you may need to update to the latest iOS (15.4.1) on your iPhone.

I am on iOS 15.4.1 and still getting the issue.
