There is a problem that episode 2 of all shows cannot be played in the Apple TV app. Why? How can I fix it?

Verify that you are signed in to the TV app (menu Account), as certain shows may have the first episode free to watch, without needing an account with a subscription.
Else it may be a network issue. Let your Mac use the DNS from your router (‘Auto’). Set your router to use a good DNS that is updated with all the host names that Apple and its CDN might use. Advised is the regular DNS from your ISP. Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support
