can not recover or reset password for email

my screen messed up on my other phone can not see anything and i am trying to reset my email password and its asking me for an email code which i can not get in because i dont know my password. Can someone help me reset my email password i need it for work.

If you forgot the Apple ID (iCloud) password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
