I am trying to run some scientific software (EasyCodeML). My computer (M1 MacBook with Monterey) keeps refusing to run the program because the publisher is unidentified. How do I run the software anyway, since I know for a fact the program is safe?

Launch the program.
Get the dialog box
Dismiss the Dialog box
System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General (tab) -> "Run Anyway"
Permissions on M1 MacBook
