My daughter was given an old iphone by her grandad who has since sadly passed. I can't however reset the iphone as I don't have his apple id or passwords. How do I erase all content and start again?

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I don't have any of the logins, activation code etc. Her grandad is now deceased and all I want to do is wipe the phone and start again :(
You need to work with Apple to have them remove the activation lock. You will not be able to use that phone until that is done.
