Apple menu > System Preferences > Accessibility > Pointer Control > Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present.

disable trackpad with Logitech M720 I have a new 16" MacBook Pro which has a large track pad. I use an Logitech M720 mouse connected by bluetooth. I want to be able to disable the trackpad when I am typing because I sometime touch the trackpad with the palm of my hand and send the curser flying. Clicking "ignore built-in track pad when mouse is present" in pointer control does not work. Is there another solution?

Disabling TrackPad when Bluetooth mouse is connected no longer working. The accessibility option to disable the trackpad when the mouse is connected (MBP is connected to a docking station) is not longer functional since the last OS Monterey 12.2.1 update. When the non-apple Mouse was active, this option was working. When typing, I need the trackpad disabled. How can I get accessibility functionality back?

Trackpad does not disable when using wireless mouse I recently bought a Logitech G604 bluetooth mouse to use with my MacBook Pro. However when I connect it via bluetooth, it does not disable the trackpad. I do have "ignore built-in trackpad" checked in Accessibility options. I've tried connecting it using the wireless USB dongle instead of bluetooth, but get the same results. It does disable when I use a wired USB mouse Monterey 12.4 MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
