Unsync iMacs?

I have 2 macbooks for both my kids and I want to personalize each one to them but when I change one thing on one it changes both. They have the same Apple ID and I don’t mind the app sharing but want them to each have their own devices to distinguish.

Stop Macs from sharing desktops Because we're now educating at home, my daughter is using my MacBook Pro; I'm using the family iMac - both are signed in with my AppleID. The desktop files on my computer are showing up on hers - and vice versa. What is the best way to avoid this? She has an AppleID - should I sign her in instead of me? Or is there a better solution? We have two MACs in our home. We have two MACs in our home. Both were setup by my wife using her Apple ID and Password. Can I set one of them up to use just for me and delete all of her stuff (photos, etc.) on mine?

Each will be best served by have a unique Apple ID.
