I am unable to play videos on camera roll/photos then I get a message saying this video cannot be played because the file format is unsupported

I get a message saying this video cannot be played because the file format is unsupported on my camera roll and photos

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support and make sure iOS is up-to-date: Update iOS on iPhone - Apple Support. Then, try to Play videos and slideshows in the Photos app on iPhone - Apple Support.
