Hi! I have a Macbook Air i3 core so I can't use Zoom backgrounds. I was wondering if buying an external webcam would allow me to use these backgrounds, or would it still not work because my laptop is still the i3? Thank you so much!! :) Any help would be appreciated.

Using an external camera will not make a difference. The requirements for using a different background are built into zoom. Read the requirements specified by zoom then satisfy those requirements.
