Audio but no video for Ted lasso in lg tv which does have Apple TV app

Able to get other Apple TV shows on lg oled tv but Ted lasso has audio but no video. Can get Ted lasso on iPad but if I mirror it to lg tv, the video is lost.

If you have the Apple TV app on your smart TV, then you don’t have to screen mirror from your iPad. Or did you mean that the issue happens for both?

What is your model TV? Is it listed as an AirPlay-enabled model? List of AirPlay 2-enabled smart TVs - Apple

Verify that the system software and firmware is up-to-date.

Try a cold restart of the TV.

If the TV has Settings for Apple AirPlay, then it is AirPlay-enabled.

For AirPlay 2 you will need to complete the HomeKit Setup, to add the TV to the Home app on iOS or iPadOS, and assign the TV to a room.

I believe that with your equipment, both AirPlay and the Apple TV app should work for video. If the issue persists, then I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. The model of LG is OLED65CXPUA. I presume it's airplay enabled since I believe it's a 2019 model. System software is 04.30.55 and web OS 5.3.0-22 are up to date. I tried a restart. It appears that no original Apple programming has video, only audio.

I tried the mirroring to see what would happen. The iPad's screen was successfully mirrored on the LG TV but the video was lost as soon as I tried to play the program (eg. Ted Lasso), even though I could have watched it successfully on the iPad (without mirroring).

The Apple TV+ app is included in the TV. Is there a way I can find out if AirPlay is the issue?

I'm embarrassed to report that I fixed the problem when I decided to delete the app (and then reinstall). Once I got to the Apple app, there was a big rectangle saying "launch"- once clicked, video worked fine. I guess I didn't understand Apple TV app is different from Apple TV+ app.
