my /tmp/ folder is to small, even though there is enough space
I need TEMPDIR space for a software backup. I tried to use other volumes and clean space, but nothing seems to work.
so I re-installed my whole system, the backup worked once again, but now I have >50GB free on my (only) disk, but still /tmp/ seems to be stuck, no matter how much space I clean up.
I saw that there are possibilities to unmount the directory and then mount it with different sizes in Unix systems, but it does not work with Mac.
this is the /tmp/ space I currently get:
uninstalling applications, deleting files and everything (yes, I restarted the system), deleting /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.coresymbolicationd does not work at all.
any Mac version of the upper mentioned mounting strategy or anything else I could try to resize this section?
