Finally got Monterey installed and go to look at my music and no longer is it iTunes its Apple music, and all the stuff that I had downloaded onto external hard drive is no longer listed in my Apple Music app. How do I fix that?

Do you have your iTunes Library.itl file on the external drive? Assuming you do hold down option as you launch Music, click the Choose Library option, and open the .itl file. If not locate it on your previous computer and copy it over. See Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community for more background.
