Bluetooth pairing

why can't I pair two iPhones via bluetooth though i paired them via airdrop

I mean that bluetooth pairing one iPhone to another is not and never has been supported.


Again, what are you trying to accomplish?

Bluetooth pairing should not be required. All you have to do is be signed in with the same iCloud account on both devices for things like continuity and handoff to work. Transferring photos and documents can be done with Airdrop. "Pairing" is not required to do this.
