After the WatchOS 8 update my watch no longer allows me to Scribble or dictate messages. I have Dictation turned on but the microphone doesn't appear and the Scribble option isn't available either. Instead the only way I can send a text is from my iPhone. My Watch is set to mirror my iPhone. How do I fix this? Can I remove the last update and restore to a previous version? I'm so frustrated and upset with this latest update.

Thank you! Yes, this fixed the issue and I agree with the comments on the thread, it is very annoying that we have to "enable" it for every conversation.... Frustrating to say the least, but at least it is still there for us to use! 😁
When you are in the response dialogue box tap and drag up from the bottom. The Scribble feature is there and needs to be re-enabled for each conversation. @sgtkrinkle posted a link to a thread below. It is so frustrating but I'm so glad we still have the ability to use this feature!

I'm also having this issue. I unpaired and repaired the watch which fixed it for a week, but they've disappeared again. So frustrating!
When you have a message open, tap the response dialog box, and then you'll see the microphone and other options available to respond.
This was actually is response to someone else's post but apparently I can't get the reply to show correctly. I'm challenged today and need more coffee.... Sigh.
