MY Apple 7 I phone stopped getting text messages they are now going to my I Pad

messages not showing up on i phone going to i pad instead

Please check again, the messages on the iPad may be getting forwarded from another iPhone.

I phone was working fine 2 days ago and now all text messages are going to my I Pad instead. Need help to figure out what is going wrong.
