Can I use HDMI from Receiver output to Mac Book Pro adapter to record music?

The Mac's HDMI is an OUTPUT, ONLY.


That port can Not be used to input into the Mac and record anything, ever.


You need a USB device that claims to record microphones and line-level inputs.
