You might want to check nearby / online supermarkets, and stores to see if they stock Apple gift cards.

Apple Support's article:

"Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID"

does not list gift cards.

says:

Malaysia

    • Most credit and debit cards
    • Touch 'n Go eWallet
