My HomePod mini stuck at downloading whil updating to 15.1. After a long time, it stops and back at the beginning and shows there is an update again. I have done it many times and it’s still the same. I tried unplugging it , resetting it, router unplugged. It’ s still the same

The problem has resolved after I move the homepod mini to another location with another router. It's been updated.
Seems like it's the router although it's not conclusive.
There was no error message and all my iPhone and iPad have been updated to 15 and has enough storage to accommodate the update.

Having the same issue with 15.2 update and tried the Sound Check ON as suggested and both of my HomePod Mini are continuing to be stuck on Downloading and acting completely glitchy during this time. I’ve unplugged and reset them and same result, stuck on Downloading. In the mean time any music that is playing is turning on and off randomly and is driving us crazy. Hopefully this new download fixes this issue.

Do you encounter any error messages along the way when attempting to update? Is your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac updated to the latest version for it?

The solution I found was to Open the Home app, then go into the Homepod, scroll down the settings to the Music & Podcasts section, turn soundcheck ON.
As if by magic the download starts!

Haven't done anything yet but mine also seems to be stuck on downloading... . Very strange this behaviour...
I was a bit too quick... I just disabled and reenabled sound check and after about 10 min, it was done downloading and asks to update.
Hope it will start working for you too... very annoying indeed.
I solved it by using another wireless router. I have idea why, but it did the trick with 15.1. But I will try 15.2 later. Don’t know how it will play out.
The Apple magic, HomePod Mini’s updated this morning without me changing anything…. Not sure what the solution was. Sorry for the lack of information.
Sound check ON did the trick for me after all the restarting, removing, unplugging, etc failed. Thanks!
Problem solved. After 15 minutes of trying to download the update I tuned my iPhone off and then on. Unplugged the HomePod mini and plugged it back in. The latest update version appeared.
