Hi kerrycallahan,

If a random webpage informed you that your computer has a virus, ignore it. It is scareware and is trying to get you to download truly malicious software.

Many users confuse malware with viruses. Macs don't get viruses but are susceptible to malware. How do you know you have something you need to get rid of?

Encryptor5000 is exactly correct. But have you installed any new and possibly questionable apps lately?
