Air pods microphone goes in and out and muffled

So I have tried everything previous posts recommended. I record a voice memo and the sound is re-created where my voice goes in and out of volume and when it goes low it’s very muffled. I have reset my AirPods and it still has the same problem. Any other ideas or solutions out there?
