Browser cannot reach

Since weeks I cannot reach a website on my desktop (iMac Sierra). Officially the website is reachable (Internet check says the site is on). I tried with Firefox, Chrome, Safari, always time out. I tried with VPN (different servers) and without VPN. Same, time out. But on my iPhone without even VPN, loads immediately. I tried restarts, everything. How is this possible? Only happens with that website...

Press and hold down the shift key while opening the Safari browser, this should clear out Safari caches.

Or see if there is an option in Safari> Preferences> Advanced to show the Develop menu, there should

be a Empty Caches option there.

Open your other browsers and see if the have a clear caches option.

Another way to clear caches is to restart your mac in Safe Mode.

Might have been useful if you shared the URL of the website you are trying to reach.

As you are posting in the macOS Sierra community I am going to assume your using macOS Sierra,

in the case of Safari as it is an older version in macOS Sierra it could be it does not meet the security

protocols for opening the website. This may be the same with your other browsers.

Have you tried contacting the website on your phone and asking them if there is a reason why

you cannot connect on your mac.

As I wrote in my question, I do use VPN. But I tried VPN off, using different servers with the VPN, even an Italian one. Nothing works. Normally VPN off/on and switching countries works very well. And weird, only happens to this website (and I surf A LOT). And with ALL browsers I mentioned. Content is normal. And on my iPhone without VPN immediate download. Some say I should clear cache somewhere but no idea where as it happens on all browsers. Maybe I need a program to see how I (try) connect to the website, tracing the route... Weird weird weird

But then I tried to open: settimananews.it in Safari and Chrome

Guess what, it worked.

Now, isn't that weird.... Mind you, the full link worked on iPhone.
