Magic Keyboard
I just charged my Magic Keyboard about a week ago and it already needs charged. Any ideas why? Usage has not changed.

My extended Magic Keyboard was purchased in Nov 2020 with my M1 mini. With daily (all day) usage, the charge usually lasts for three weeks, and then I connect the charging cable to it and continue to use it while it recharges. A week's worth of charge is far too short for this keyboard, and unless you are not fully charging it, I have no explanation for the short charge cycle.
If you purchased your 24-inch iMac from Apple, visit an Apple store with your proof of purchase, or use your free 90-day phone support to see if they will replace your keyboard.

With a desktop Mac why not just leave it plugged in and then charging is no worry.
+1, that is exactly what I do.
