Hi There,

Your iPhone cannot be updated because the hardware is getting old.

The phone would struggle to keep up with the latest features of iOS14, and therefore Apple doesn't allow your phone to update because it would be unbearably slow, and battery life would be extremely poor.

This is something that happens to all devices as they age.

It may be time to upgrade your phone to a newer model.

Hope this Helps.
