Thanks! I checked all files & they are H.264 .mp4 file types. The really odd thing is that some will play fine & others will play audio only, but not the video. All files function perfectly on my Mac.
The files were purchased from an individual who creates and sells these for public presentation. File sizes range from 1.2Mb up to 20Mb.
Reading the Apple support info & other sources, I converted the files from .mp4 to .mov format which worked perfectly. The presentation now plays perfectly using my iPhone.

The iPhone supports the following filetypes for playback:
iPhone Supported Video Codec: H.264, H.265, MPEG-4,
iPhone Supported Video Container Format: .mp4, .mov, .m4v, .3gp
How are these files made or imported from?
What is their pixel size?
Because the The Video container used as:
.mp4, .mov, .m4v, .3gp
