I have books that I have purchased from Apple - can I change them to audio books?

Can you purchase a book and audio in one purchase? Apple Books doesn’t seem to allow you to purchase a book and audio in one purchase. You have to purchase the book and audio book separately which is double the price? Is there a way around this?
