Why do screen recordings cut out?

Hi. So i was playing Minecraft on my ipad with my friends and recording it for YouTube, and out of nowhere the game crashed saying that it's used up all storage. even though i still have 8 GB of storage. So i exit the game and stopped recording (it was about 20 minutes long). I opened photos to check the video, but what saved in the photo was just the last 10 seconds of my 20 minutes long recording. I'm pretty sure that i've got enough storage for that video and this has happened to me like 3 times already and i dont have time to record again today, meaning i can't post a video this week. why did that happen, and is there any ways to fix it? and are there any ways to limit the fps of my recording so it's not rediculously big?

any help is apreciated.

-Max

Hello MaxIsTaken, Thanks for reaching out to us for support. This is certainly not the experience that we want you to have with recording yourself playing Minecraft on your iPad, and we are going to do everything we can to help you. When you have a free moment, can you please tell us when you first encountered this issue and if you have made any changes to the settings on your device before starting the screen recording? Also, can you please tell us all the troubleshooting steps you have taken so far in an attempt to resolve your issue so that we can avoid repeating them? When possible, please be specific when describing the steps you’ve taken and the outcome after each step. Lastly, please tell us the version of iPadOS you are currently running on your iPad if you were ever able to screen record a 20-minute video on your device before successfully and the amount of space it consumed. This information is vital because your recording stopped, and your game crashed may be directly linked to the lack of free storage you had available on your device.

Find the software version on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod

Hi

I don't really remember when i first got the issue, but i remember it's me fiddling with screen recording and forgot to stop it. I'm pretty sure i have 6 GB or so on my ipad when i recorded yesterday so i don't know why my game crashed, and the screen recording also glitched. I'm running Ipad OS 14.6 and i have recorded 30 minute minecraft videos as well and that didnt glitch. So the first thing i did was to check my storage and i still have 6 GBs left. then i deleted one of my previous recordings (I forgot to delete that after posting) and it still only have the last 10 seconds. One thing i noticed was that i didn't get a confirmation popup after i stopped recording and i don't have do not disturb on for sure. anyways, thanks for your help!
