how do I transfer GoPro photos and video to iMovie, tried looking in apps for image capture, no find. the app. I have tried direct from GoPro with usb and also sd card but no luck. I can transfer GoPro photos to iPhone and from iPhone to iMac works. Just thought someone might know of a direct transfer. Many thanks.

What steps are you doing to import the GoPro media, and what happens when you try? Does your Mac recognize the GoPro camera and/or the SD card? Is the little security slider on the SD card slid into the security position, thus blocking access? Have you tried dragging from the SD card? And, to cover the bases, are you following the instructions in the GoPro manual for importing media to a Mac?
iMovie does not support 2.7K video, so if your clips are 2.7K perhaps that is the problem with a direct import into iMovie. Your Mac should have Image Capture app in the Applicatons folder that would allow import directly to the Finder. Since the app isn't there, have you tried a Spotlight search?

Thank you Rich for your reply. I found image capture and connected the GoPro it says gopro connected by ubs but nothing indicates the iMac recognizes the camera "no camera or scanner selected" . I will read up on the connection with GoPro but having gone through that already there is little to help. you can with between GoPro connect and MTP neither works. Like I mentioned I can transfer through iPhone, that connects OK with GoPro. I will email GoPro again and see what they say but my last email went unanswered.
