How to stop auto saving pics sent to me on What’s App

Hi-just got a new 12 pro max. I want to stop it from auto saving all pics that are sent to me on What’s App and I can’t seem to figure out how. (My old 8 had a setting for that…)

Open WhatsApp → Go into Settings.
Tap on Data and Storage Usage.
Select your preferred option from all 4 media lists of Photos, Audio, Video, and Documents.
Pick Never from 3 options that will appear to stop WhatsApp auto-download media files on your iPhone.
