USB output at native file bit rate and sample depth

I have my 2014 mac mini connected via usb to an external DAC that will switch based on the bit depth and the sample rate of the music file (for example when fed by software such as roon). Given the different bit rates and sample depths available now via streaming from Apple Music how do I get my computer to automatically output the native bit depth and sample rate from Apple Music to my DAC?

So far I am only able to set a blanket output in the audio midi settings, that doesn’t change with the different native file parameters. An app like BitPerfect works for files on my computer but not for streaming. Any suggestions?

Mac mini, macOS 11.4

Unfortunately there is no solution at the moment.

Music app doesn't support Exclusive Mode (and never did, even when it was named iTunes) to change automatically the sample rate. Users have to change it manually, which isn't convenient of course.

BitPerfect works only for local owned files.
