Why isn’t the option for center stage in FaceTime available on the iPad Pro 12.9 4 gen?
kinda disappointed to find out it isn’t available for the 2020 version but I’d like to know why and if it will be available in the future?

Centre Stage is a feature of the new 2021 models of iPad Pro - both of which are fitted with the necessary front and rear wide-angle cameras. In addition to camera hardware, Centre Stage is driven by advanced AI/ML (Machine Learning) capabilities of the M1 SoC.
Your older model iPad Pro does not have the necessary camera or CPU for Centre Stage to be enabled. Future system software cannot enable this feature for older models of iPad and iPad Pro.
