My green light turns on randomly. Is this normal?

A green indicator means either the camera or the camera and the microphone are being used by an app on your iPhone. You stated that it turns on randomly. That is not normal. Are you sure that your camera is not in use by another app when you see it lit?

If it is, it’s not an app that I have open on the screen. I was watching youtube videos on Safari, then stopped, looked at my phone for the time and it was green. It’s not the first time. It happens every so often. Is it even possible for someone to get into my camera?
