Why are Office programs still so slow to open on Mac?

Hi guys and gals,

I wanted to see if I could get to the bottom of this as it is becoming a little annoying, having to wait for Office on my Macbook Pro, to open up. I know this is supposed to be a security linked excuse, but in all honesty its more like Apple having a pop at Microsoft.....and why not😂).

I just need to see if there is anything that can be done to get it back to where it used to be, a year or so ago??
