Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

My watch has a black face (shows nothing). Pressing the side button shows the time and a red lightening bolt. Nothing else happens. Cannot force reset.

Why does the watch show only the time and a red lightening bolt?

You are in Power Reserve Mode. See: the 'Use Power Reserve' section in:

What series watch do you have?

Find out what to do if your Apple Watch Series 5 or Apple Watch SE is in Power Reserve and won’t charge.
