How do I upgrade the reminders app without upgrading ios?

There are lots of instructions on how to upgrade the Reminders app when opening it for the first time after an upgrade. Well, I didn't and can't see some shared reminders created by someone who did. How do I upgrade now? I'm on IOS latest.

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 14

Sorry if it's confusing on my part.


I have upgraded my *ios* to 14.4.1


I did not upgrade the reminders app when opening it for the first time (as described in the link)


On a shared reminders list, I see a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark and "The creator of this list has upgraded these reminders" and a reference to the article linked above


How do I fix?
