Today was my birthday and friend of mine gave me an iPad eight generation for present it’s only a Wi-Fi I was wondering if I can take it to the Apple Store and upgrade to a different iPad so I can use the cellular service

I would remmend you to take ipad 8th generation because its the latest ipad but it would be bad if you traded it to a other ipad by knowing that its a birthday gift but then you can take eighter ipad pro 11.9 3rd genration or ipad pro 12.9 3rd generation.
