What would be the formula for calculating pay earned? I have calculated total hours from start time and end time, but when I try to calculate pay earned from total hours multiplied by a dollar amount, the result appears in duration, not currency.

Thanks!

Try this:

DUR2HOURS(duration)*'Rate per hour formatted as currency'

DUR2HOURS, as the name implies, converts a Duration to the number of hours (and decimal fraction of an hour) expressed as a number. The recult is a number, which can be formatted a currency.
