Is there way to connect and backup iPhone without installing Big Sur? Third party apps, perhaps?

I'd like t be able to connect my iPhone to Mac and back it up, but not at the expense of installing Big Sur (losing many powerful apps). Is there a work around?

If you have Mojave or earlier you back up the phone using iTunes. If you have Catalina or Big Sur you use Finder. Here is the help article→How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
