I have one web site that no longer supports Safari, and recommends using Chrome 72 or later, MS IE 11 or later or Edge 80 or later. I use this site periodically, but prefer Safari. Can I put Chrome on my computer but use it only when necessary? How do I select which browsers to use? I would like to use Safari as my default browser for emails, etc.

To set your preferred browser, go to System Preferences/General.
You can have multiple browsers open at the same time. You switch between browsers just like you switch between applications.
I use three browsers on my Mac mini and Big Sur.
Is there one that is preferred? How do you switch between browsers? I use a MacBook Pro with Big Sur. I would probably go with Chrome if I can.
Thanks for the info. I've downloaded Chrome and hope it will solve the problem with one of my essential websites. I'll just add it to the Dock and use it when necessary.
