Hello. Does anybody know if there will be full support for wifi 6 (802.11ax) in the future? There is conflicting info on Apple's website.

My iPhone 12 mini does not have support for wifi6. Is it a hardware issue or will it be implemented in future iOs updates? Anyone?

The iPhone 11 and later is capable of connecting to Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax)
Now the question is what is the router / modem that you are connecting to? If it has WiFi 5 or WiFi 4 the iPhone 11 and higher will only connect to WiFi 5 or WiFi 4 because it has downward compatibility. If the router has WiFi 6 802.11ax it will seamlessly connect to it with WiFi 6.

The 12 mini does not support wifi 6. I was on the phone with Apple support for 45 minutes yesterday before they managed to find the relevant info. The phone did not connect to wifi 6 because there isn't any. ;-(
If you check my top link in the original post (given to me by Apple support) you'll see that it doesn't. They have conflicting info.
I bought a new router https://www.asus.com/se/Networking-IoT-Servers/WiFi-6/All-series/RT-AX86U/ so there are no problems there. That's why I want to know if they will address this with a patch or if it's hardware based and also if they will correct their info.

No, it would require different Wi-Fi hardware.
I listened to Tuesday's announcement which was excellent, except, I didn't hear anything on WiFi 6 or 6E support for any product or any limited models. Did I miss it?
