What if you have an iPad Air? My software update says 12.5.1 and that it's up to date. What about the notice that it should be 14.4. My iPhone is updated to 14.4.

12.5.1 is the most current iOS version of a first generation iPad Air. It cannot be updated beyond that.

Then that model isn't capable of 13 or above. Nobody on these boards can say if Apple's going to release a security patch for it.
