I have an iPhone 6s running iOS 14 and I'm looking to invest into buying an Apple Watch SE. I was wondering if the watch will be unable to upgrade to the next WatchOS update when it comes out if my iOS 14 iPhone 6s is unable to get the next iOS update?

Sorry, we are not privy to Apple plans.
At the moment an iPhone 6s can update to iOS 14.3.
How many more iOS updates? We don't know.
