New imac will not start

Brand new imac 27 inch will not start. Tried a different power cord that I know works but still no luck. Help!

If you bought it directly from Apple, then you should be in touch with AppleCare ASAP to arrange its return for exchange. This assumes it is less than 14 days old. If you bought it from a reseller please contact the reseller.
