I can’t connect my Apple TV to home pod

Whatever I do, I can’t see both my HomePod and Apple TV under the Home app. There’s only HomePod that appears. I tried everything I could find online. They’re both on the same network, logged in to the same account. My goal is to use the HomePod as an Apple TV Speaker.

Make sure the audio visual is set to the room that your HomePod is in.

I had the same problem after resetting my HomePod, set the output to living room and bingo.
