ITUNES for Windows does NOT have a "check for updates" option

I have gone under Help, but there is no "check for updates" option. I hoped the problem was that ITUNES needs an update. But I can't find a way to force ITUNES to check for updates or do an update. There is supposed to be a button or option under the HELP menu in ITUNES to "check for updates" but it is not visible. The ITUNES version I have is 12.11 What else can I do?

Windows, Windows 10

There are two delivery methods for iTunes for Windows, one is a direct download from apple.com, the other is through the Microsoft Store. The MS Store version will update itself automatically. iTunes 12.11 is the current version.

What makes you think iTunes needs an update?
