Not all developers provide that information, and you cant look up developers if you are working offline because there is no internet available, and can be a tedious task if you waiting for developer to respond, if you have to communicate with them.

When dragging some apps in the trash, there are other files associated with the app, being installed in other places other than your app folder/directory.

I would stop using it if there is a better replacement for the task, not get moaned at for using it for just removing apps and any traces of them and ignoring it's other tools , knowing they can mess things up.

The best antivirus, cleaning app, and overall maintenance app for Mac OS is Mac OS itself. All you need to do with Mac OS to keep it secure and running well is to keep it up-to-date and do periodic (about 1x per week) restarts. Other than that, leave it alone. Adding third party antivirus, cleaning, security and other types of maintenance apps to Mac OS adds no additional level of security. The only thing these apps do is have the opposite affect users want. They make Mac OS slow, unstable, generate odd behavior (much like you are experiencing) and make Mac OS appear buggy.

Please locate the developers uninstall instructions for CleanMyMac & Onyx and follow to the letter. Then restart in Safe Mode per the directions in Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac and then restart normally.

The Mac OS doesn't have an app to uninstall third party apps clean, as dragging them into the trash may remove the executable app, and not the files that the ap may save to other places in the hard drive and system, which is the purpose I got cleanmymac. I use it to uninstall programs I don't want or don't need anymore. Everything else in the software I don't use. Unless you can give me an idea of a better app to use to uninstall 3rd party apps/ or apps that were not installed via the App Store. Secondly how do you keep it up to date, when updates break software you use, where the apps no longer work after an update... where you would have to buy them again, worse when you cant... Secondly the newer OS is more resource demanding than the OS version that you bought the Mac with it on. Every update takes more hardware resources for system and less for productivity... especially when you cant even update the physical RAM to fairly compensate with the update escapade when it is soldered to the logic board. Not everyone uses their Macs as fancy facebook machines... they actually use them to create art, music and video. Why sometimes I have to update OS on separate external drive and keep existing OS on main SSD/HHD and a work around this.

It appears with the standard wallpaper when logged in my MacBook Pro , but not when logged in my iMac. Does it have anything to do with vintage or "obsolete" hardware ? https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201624

To uninstall any app, the first thing one should do is see if the developer of the app has uninstall instructions. If they do then follow them to the letter. If they do not, the most practical method of uninstalling the app is dragging it to the Trash and emptying the Trash. Mac OS will not be adversly affected by doing that. Users can also use App Cleaner app to remove an app.

I've been using Mac OS for well over 20 years and have never used any cleaning, AV or other "maintenance" apps to maintain my Macs and I've owned lots of them. I have never had issues with Mac OS either.

I'm not hear to argue or debate with you, I'm simply offering my advice. If you don't want to follow it, that is perfectly okay.

Stay healthy and good luck.
