Set up Apple TV 4 K but unable to receive one year of free Apple TV plus

i set up my Apple TV 4K but never saw where to get 1 year of free subscription to this device. I signed up for 1 free week last night in order to watch a movie. How do I get the 1 year free subscription promised when I purchased this device?
