I recently purchased a 2019 21.5" IMac and want to use my late 2013 21.5" IMac as a second display.
However, my 2013 IMac OS is upgraded to Catalina and I understand support for target display mode was eliminated after Sierra. I've read several older posts about downgrading operating systems but I cannot find a link or anything that helps me get access to SierraOS.
Is this still possible?

I found that, and when I click through I eventually end up in Itunes and it says item not available.
I just read I must use Safari. Silly me for not knowing the browser would make a difference.

Download of Sierra completed, but the installer is too old for the current OS.

Success! I found an article at MacWorld that directed me to an installer app. I was able to download the installer, wipe the hard drive and do a fresh install of Sierra. Thanks for the help.
