Apple Music not working - sound issue

Hi there,

I have a problem with sound. Sound on my computer works with all other apps and programmes but not when I wan to listen to my music on the Apple Music site. I have checked the sound volume and followed other steps by googling the issue but still have no sound. It worked last week but has stopped working.

The strange thing is that when I click on a track, it shows that it is being played. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you

Hi Acoustics123,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. Being able to listen to Apple Music is certainly important, and we'd like to help out. As we understand the issue, you have audio from all other apps, but not when you use Apple Music on the web. Is that right?

When you checked volume, did you check the volume slider shown in this screenshot? Listen to Apple Music on the web and in apps

Also, to verify, if you use iTunes or the built-in Music app, how does that work? Is the issue only with Apple Music on the web, or in the app as well?

Under System Preferences > Bluetooth, do you have any audio devices connected? Does it help if you disconnect or "forget" those devices and test again?

How about if you click Apple menu () > Restart?

Take care.
