deleting emails from both a MacBook Air and an iPhone

How do I set my iPhone and MacBook Air so when I delete an email from one device, it is deleted from the other. ?

If they're both setup as IMAP then that should be what happens, unless you've directed Trash to somewhere not on the Sever.


Mail>Preferences>Accounts>Your Account>Mailbox Behaviors, what path is Trash Mailbox set to?
